U-Pick at Dubois Farm

The kids and I waited all summer for Dubois Farm to open for the season. Open just three short months we try to get here at least every other week if not more. The farm is extremely clean and well maintained with plenty for the whole family to do. Any day you come to the farm you will see David Dubois riding around chatting with farm guests while working. You are able to pick your own fruit, veggies and flowers. The biggest hit with the kids are the farm animals and tiny town.

My Top 5 Places Outdoors for Kids in the Hudson Valley

As the weather begins to change here in the Hudson Valley, I find my kids and I spend more and more time outdoors. Kids should be outdoors to help build their immune system, their problem solving skills, and imagination. It also helps them to sleep better, my kids are much happier and the obvious one exercise. Fortunately, the Hudson Valley has ample opportunity to be outdoors. Below are my favorite places to take my two and four year old. These are areas that I can relax and let my kids be free to explore. Win, win for everyone.

#1 Fishkill Farms

I absolutely love Fishkill Farms farm. I discovered this place when we were living in Westchester County and when we moved to the Hudson Valley I was excited that our new home was near my most favorite place.
